Blue Moon Metals Partners with Worley for Feasibility Study on Nussir Project

Blue Moon Metals Inc. has officially appointed Worley Limited as the engineering contractor for the NI 43-101 Feasibility Study (FS) and basic engineering of its Nussir Copper-gold-silver Project located in Norway. This strategic decision comes after a thorough selection process, highlighting Worley’s specialized expertise in base metal projects and their extensive experience in the Norwegian mining sector. With the Feasibility Study aimed at updating the May 2023 JORC-compliant analysis, the partnership is expected to enhance the understanding and viability of the Nussir Project, ensuring that it meets the necessary standards for advancement.

The Feasibility Study is anticipated to integrate results from the ongoing construction of the mine decline and incorporate innovative techniques such as optical sorting. These enhancements are poised to optimize project outcomes, thereby increasing the potential for economic success. The project timeline indicates that detailed engineering work will commence in 2026, with results from the FS expected by the first quarter of that year. This timeline is crucial, as it aligns with the projected ordering of long-lead items by Q4-2025, which will ultimately facilitate a construction decision following the exploration activities set to begin in June 2025.

Christian Kargl-Simard, CEO of Blue Moon, expresses his enthusiasm regarding the collaboration with Worley, emphasizing the significant potential of the Nussir Project. Blue Moon is not only advancing this particular initiative but is also focusing on two other brownfield polymetallic projects: the NSG copper-zinc-gold-silver project and the Blue Moon zinc-gold-silver-copper project. All three projects are strategically positioned to leverage existing infrastructure, which is vital for reducing costs and expediting the development process. The move to engage Worley aligns with Blue Moon's commitment to advancing critical metal resources, such as copper and zinc, which are increasingly recognized for their importance in global economic stability and national security.

Beyond the collaboration with Worley, Blue Moon Metals is strategically positioned within an industry that is increasingly focusing on sustainable resource extraction. As global demand for critical metals continues to rise, the company’s emphasis on innovative engineering solutions and project optimization will be pivotal in meeting both market needs and environmental standards. The Nussir Project, alongside Blue Moon's other initiatives, stands to contribute substantially to the supply chain of essential metals, further solidifying the company's role in the evolving landscape of the mining industry.
