Copper Fox Metals Inc. Advances Van Dyke Copper Project: A Step Towards Sustainable Mining

Copper Fox Metals Inc. is taking significant strides in the advancement of its 100% owned Van Dyke in-situ copper recovery (ISCR) project located in Arizona. The company assembles a project team to initiate work on a prefeasibility study (PFS), a crucial step following the 2020 Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) and Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA). These assessments, which were based on a copper price of US$3.15 per pound, reveal the project's substantial potential social and economic benefits for the Town of Miami and its neighboring communities. This initiative marks a key turning point for Copper Fox as it aims to solidify the foundation for future development.

Leading the project team is Stantec, a recognized leader in mining engineering, tasked with creating a comprehensive Execution Plan that will delineate the scope, timeline, and costs associated with the PFS. Elmer B. Stewart, President and CEO of Copper Fox, highlights the significance of this plan in propelling the project forward. The involvement of Stantec not only signifies a commitment to high standards of engineering and environmental considerations but also underscores the project's alignment with sustainable practices in mining. According to Stantec's Project Manager, Nick Hynd, the Van Dyke project is poised to deliver considerable employment opportunities while ensuring the sustainable production of essential copper.

In parallel with these developments, Samuel Engineering has begun constructing a preliminary geometallurgical model to enhance the understanding of the copper deposit's mineralogy. This effort is aimed at identifying existing gaps in sample distributions and improving the accuracy of future production forecasts. By deepening its knowledge of the deposit, Copper Fox is positioning itself to optimize the extraction process and bolster the project's viability. Beyond Van Dyke, the company’s portfolio includes other exploration projects, such as Mineral Mountain and Sombrero Butte in Arizona, as well as a 25% interest in the Schaft Creek Joint Venture with Teck Resources, illustrating its robust focus on copper exploration and development across North America.

Copper Fox Metals Inc. remains dedicated to responsible mining and recognizes the critical role that effective project management and sustainable practices play in the mining sector. As the company progresses with its initiatives, it seeks to not only enhance its operational capacity but also contribute positively to local economies and communities through job creation and sustainable resource development. The commitment to advancing the Van Dyke project reflects a strategic vision that aligns with industry trends toward environmentally-conscious mining practices.
