Alaska Airlines Elevates Inflight Dining with Pre-Order Options
Alaska Airlines announces a significant enhancement to its inflight dining experience by introducing a pre-order option for its Signature Fruit & Cheese Platter, effective June 4, 2025. This initiative allows Main Cabin guests on short-haul flights, spanning 670 to 774 miles, to secure one of the airline’s most popular meal offerings in advance. The Signature Platter is well-regarded among travelers, featuring a selection of five locally sourced cheeses from Washington and Oregon, including renowned varieties like brie, Tillamook's Sharp Cheddar, and Beecher's Flagship Handmade Cheese. Accompanying the cheeses are five large crackers, fresh apple slices, grapes, and a local chocolatier's chocolate truffle, providing a balanced and satisfying meal for passengers.
This new pre-order option reflects Alaska Airlines' commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction through personalized inflight experiences. With nearly 40% of all fresh food sales attributed to the Signature Platter, the airline recognizes its popularity and aims to ensure that more guests can enjoy it on their journeys. Mark Krolick, managing director of inflight guest products at Alaska Airlines, underscores the airline's dedication to delivering beloved offerings that elevate the overall travel experience. The pre-order program positions Alaska Airlines as a leader in the industry, providing more inflight dining options than any other U.S. carrier, including up to five chef-curated dishes on longer flights exceeding 1,100 miles.
The introduction of this pre-order meal option is timed to coincide with National Cheese Day, further highlighting the airline's focus on quality and customer-centric service. By allowing guests to pre-arrange their inflight meals, Alaska Airlines not only enhances its culinary offerings but also reinforces its mission to provide a taste of home and hospitality, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and satisfied while traveling.
In addition to the Signature Platter, Alaska Airlines also offers the Jetsetter's Jam, a delightful combination of smooth cashew butter and tart strawberry jam served between flaky croissant bread, accompanied by fresh fruit and cheese. This adds variety to the inflight menu, catering to diverse passenger preferences.
As Alaska Airlines continues to innovate in its inflight dining, it sets a standard for other carriers in the industry, emphasizing the importance of quality food and customer service in enhancing the overall travel experience.
