This agreement, announced on May 14, 2025, marks a significant step forward in the company's efforts to develop its industrial projects in Bahia, Brazil. The collaboration aims to establish strategic alliances that will facilitate the implementation of Homerun's initiatives, which include a Silica Processing facility capable of producing 120,000 tons per year and a Solar Glass manufacturing plant with an annual output of 365,000 tons.
The MoU outlines a comprehensive framework for collaboration, which includes the donation of at least 60 hectares of land for the projects. It also emphasizes the integration of science, technology, and clean energy solutions, aligning with the Bahia government's guidelines for regional development. This partnership is poised to deliver substantial benefits, including tax incentives that will streamline the licensing process, and a guaranteed supply of natural gas from BahiaGas, essential for the operational efficiency of the new facilities. The anticipated economic impact is significant, with projections of approximately 500 direct jobs, 2,800 indirect jobs, and 1,000 temporary positions created during the construction phase, supported by an investment of up to R$1.8 billion.
