Rock Tech Lithium Advances Sustainable Lithium Production with Innovative Ore Sorting Technology

Rock Tech Lithium Inc. announces a significant milestone with the acquisition of CAD $388,074 from Ontario's Critical Minerals Innovation Fund (CMIF) to develop an innovative ore sorting process. This project, in collaboration with Queen's University and Stark Technologies, aims to enhance lithium recovery from low-grade spodumene ores at Rock Tech's Georgia Lake site, located near Beardmore, Ontario. Traditionally, ores containing lithium levels between 0.3% and 0.5% Li₂O are considered uneconomic, but the new initiative hopes to achieve an ambitious recovery target of 80%. This advancement not only positions Rock Tech as a leader in the lithium sector but also aligns with Ontario's commitment to critical minerals and clean energy transitions.

The funding from CMIF will facilitate research and pilot testing of the ore sorting technology, promoting both economic viability and environmental sustainability in lithium production. As electric vehicle and renewable energy technologies drive up demand for lithium, this project is critical for establishing a reliable supply chain in Canada. Rock Tech's CEO Mirco Wojnarowicz underscores the importance of public-private partnerships in overcoming challenges associated with lithium extraction. By leveraging technological advancements and fostering collaboration across academia and industry, Rock Tech aims to commercialize innovative solutions that can transform previously overlooked resources into productive assets.

In addition to securing funding, Rock Tech strengthens its community ties by revising a field exploration agreement with several First Nations groups. The company commits to granting 1,000,000 common share purchase warrants among the groups, promoting collaboration and consultation during exploration activities. Each group will receive 250,000 warrants, exercisable within five years at the market price on the grant date. This move reflects Rock Tech's dedication to building sustainable relationships with local communities as it strives to create a closed-loop lithium production system, further solidifying its role in the electric vehicle and battery supply chain.

Rock Tech's initiative not only enhances the economic outlook for lithium extraction in Ontario but also aligns with broader sustainability goals. By transforming low-grade ores into viable production opportunities, the company is poised to meet the growing demands of the battery industry while ensuring environmental responsibility. As the lithium market continues to evolve, Rock Tech Lithium Inc. stands at the forefront of innovation, ready to make a lasting impact on the industry.
