Wesco International Elevates Dirk Naylor to Lead Communications and Security Solutions Division
Wesco International, a leading provider of business-to-business distribution and supply chain solutions, announces the promotion of Dirk Naylor to Executive Vice President and General Manager of Communications and Security Solutions (CSS), effective June 30, 2025. Naylor’s promotion follows the resignation of William C. Geary II, who is set to become the CEO of a private equity-backed firm. Naylor, who has been with Wesco since 2005, has demonstrated remarkable leadership and operational expertise, playing a pivotal role in the company’s strategic initiatives, including its successful cross-selling program and the acquisition of Rahi Systems in 2022. His experience in the industry positions him well to lead the CSS division into its next phase of growth.
Under Naylor’s leadership, Wesco aims to advance its innovative solutions in the communications and security markets. His track record includes significant contributions to the establishment of Wesco Data Center Solutions and the acquisition of Ascent, LLC, in 2024. Wesco's Chairman, President, and CEO John Engel acknowledges Naylor’s strategic vision and operational capabilities, expressing confidence that Naylor will effectively address the evolving needs of Wesco's global customers. This transition comes as Wesco seeks to solidify its position in the competitive landscape of communications and security distribution, which is increasingly critical for businesses navigating complex supply chain challenges.
Naylor’s promotion is a strategic move for Wesco, reflecting the company’s commitment to growth and innovation within its CSS division. With approximately $22 billion in annual sales for 2024 and a workforce of around 20,000 employees, Wesco operates a robust global network with over 700 distribution and fulfillment centers in nearly 50 countries. This extensive reach allows the company to maintain a strong local presence while effectively meeting the demands of various sectors, including commercial, industrial, government, and telecommunications.
In addition to Naylor's promotion, Wesco continues to focus on enhancing its service offerings and improving operational efficiency across its divisions. The company’s commitment to empowering its leadership team and fostering a culture of innovation positions it well for future growth in the rapidly evolving distribution landscape. As Wesco International navigates the complexities of supply chain management, Naylor’s leadership is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the future of the Communications and Security Solutions division.
