Anaergia Inc., through its subsidiary Anaergia S.r.l., has recently signed a significant contract with PreZero International to enhance an anaerobic digestion facility located in Bizkaia, Spain, near Bilbao. This facility is set to process up to 50,000 tons per year of source-separated organics following the completion of the upgrade. Anaergia will implement its proprietary technologies, specifically the CleanREX and GritREX systems, to convert organic waste into biomethane through anaerobic digestion. The company anticipates generating approximately C$7.6 million in revenue from this partnership, which underscores Anaergia's commitment to advancing sustainability in waste management.
The enhancements at the Bizkaia facility will allow for more efficient processing of organic materials, positioning it as one of the leading sustainable waste treatment plants in Spain.
