CareProminence wins full NCQA PHM prevalidation, easing accreditation burden for clients
CareProminence, the population-health platform operated under the Hearst Health network and formerly known as MedHOK, achieves full prevalidation across the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Population Health Management (PHM) elements, the company says from Tampa, Florida. The certification confirms that key components of the platform meet NCQA requirements and gives accredited clients automatic credit toward NCQA surveys. CareProminence’s validation is designed to streamline portions of the accreditation and survey review process for organizations that use the platform.
The company frames the milestone as a practical way to reduce duplication of effort for health plans and other accredited entities by lowering documentation and validation burdens. Health plans, population-health programs, managed behavioral health organizations and case-management programs that adopt CareProminence are able to leverage the prevalidation to shorten on-site or document-heavy accreditation reviews, the announcement says. The validation covers the four required PHM elements, signaling alignment with nationally recognized standards for population health tools.
Polina Vaserman, vice-president of product management, underscores the platform’s focus on standards-aligned technology and operational rigor. She says the goal is to reduce complexity for clients as they navigate accreditation requirements while preserving the controls and auditability payers and providers expect. CareProminence supports population health, case management and care coordination across the healthcare ecosystem and is presented as part of a broader suite of SaaS offerings for utilization and pharmacy management, enrollment and compliance.
Additional context on the vendor and network
CareProminence is presented as part of the Hearst Health network and benefits from that affiliation in positioning and integration across clinical and payer workflows. The company says the prevalidation strengthens its role as a technology partner for organizations managing regulatory and accreditation requirements in the health services sector.
Not related to Mohawk Industries or flooring sector
This announcement and the CareProminence product pertain to a healthcare technology provider using the “MHK” shorthand and are not connected to Mohawk Industries, the U.S. flooring and building-products manufacturer. Mohawk Industries operates in the flooring and home-products industry and is not involved in NCQA population-health accreditation or the CareProminence platform.
