Embracing Creativity: Duck® Brand Launches Stuck at Prom® Scholarship Contest
Duck® brand, produced by Shurtape Technologies, LLC, initiates the 26th annual Stuck at Prom® Scholarship Contest, encouraging high school students across the U.S. and Canada to express their creativity by designing prom outfits made entirely from Duck Tape®. Running from March 25 through June 3, 2026, the contest invites participants to submit photos of their unique creations. This year introduces a new patriotic-themed category in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, providing students multiple opportunities to stand out and earn various scholarship prizes.
The contest features a panel of judges who will select the top 10 finalists based on criteria such as workmanship, originality, and creativity. These finalists will then be subjected to online voting from June 29 to July 13 to determine the grand prize winners. Each of the grand prize winners will receive a $10,000 scholarship, while eight runners-up will take home $1,000 scholarships accompanied by Duck® brand prize packs. Special category awards, such as “Runway Worthy” and “Most Inspiring,” further enhance the competition, providing additional $1,000 prizes for exceptional designs. Notably, students are also eligible for the new Red, White & Made By You award, targeting patriotic-themed entries with $250 cash prizes.
Over the years, Duck® brand has nurtured creativity and self-expression among students, having awarded over half a million dollars in scholarships through this initiative. The contest not only showcases the inventive spirit of high schoolers but also reinforces Duck® brand’s commitment to engaging younger audiences in a fun and artistic manner.
