Eltek secures $12.2 million U.S. defense order
U.S. defense contract accelerates North America push
Eltek is winning a $12.2 million order from an American defense customer for printed circuit board products that are scheduled for delivery across 2026 and 2027, the company says. The boards are slated for integration into a defense project, and CEO Eli Yaffe says the award supports Eltek’s strategic objective to expand its U.S. presence with higher value-added products.
The award underscores Eltek’s positioning in the high-end PCB market, where customers demand complex HDI, multilayer and flex-rigid boards. The company is translating that capability into more defence-focused business in North America through its local subsidiary and targeted product lines that meet stringent military and aerospace requirements.
Management frames the contract as both a scale and credibility milestone that could open follow-on work with U.S. prime contractors. Eltek is executing production and quality control from its Israeli facilities while using its North American footprint for customer integration, logistics and programme support as the multi-year deliveries proceed.
Manufacturing credentials and market focus
Eltek stresses its ITAR compliance and holds AS-9100 and NADCAP Electronics certifications, credentials that are frequently required for defence and aerospace supply chains. Founded in 1970 and headquartered in Petach Tikva, Israel, the company specialises in technologically advanced PCBs for defence, aerospace and medical markets and operates through a North American subsidiary plus agents and distributors in Europe, India, South Africa and South America.
Forward-looking statements and investor contacts
The company cautions that forward-looking statements are subject to risks, including currency fluctuations between the U.S. dollar and Israeli shekel, potential impacts from the Coronavirus on operations, product and technology development risks, market acceptance and competitive pricing, as set out in its Annual Report on Form 20-F and other SEC filings.
