Founders Metals Inc. Reports Progress in Mid-Year Drilling at Antino Gold Project
Founders Metals Inc. (TSXV: FDR) announces significant advancements in its exploration efforts at the Antino Gold Project in Suriname, providing a mid-year update that underscores the company's commitment to expanding its mineral resources. Fully financed to undertake over 60,000 meters of drilling in 2025, Founders is strategically focusing on its Upper Antino and Lower Antino targets. The Upper Antino site, which spans a strike length of 1,700 meters and extends to a depth of 280 meters, demonstrates promising assay results from approximately 6,500 meters of the planned 20,000-meter drill program. Here, the company seeks to connect mineralization between the Froyo and Donut zones while exploring the potential for deeper drilling to reach depths of 550 meters.
In the Lower Antino area, Founders reveals substantial gold mineralization from drill hole LA024, which intersects 50 meters of 1.02 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, thereby extending the known mineralization 475 meters beyond previous drilling. This discovery confirms a significant strike length of over 700 meters. The company has successfully completed around 7,500 meters of drilling at Lower Antino and aims to add an additional 2,500 meters by year-end. Furthermore, the Lawa area presents additional promise with its 8.0 km structural corridor, where channel samples yield results of 27.0 meters at 1.99 g/t gold.
Exploration efforts extend beyond the immediate targets, as Founders evaluates the Buese target, which has shown gold presence across more than 2,000 meters of strike. So far, 3,100 meters of drilling have been completed there, with plans to reach a total of 7,000 meters in 2025. The emerging Da Vinci target is also gaining attention, with reported gold intervals ranging from 7.5 to 40 meters. Despite challenges posed by heavy rainfall affecting operations, Founders remains adaptive, focusing on drilling activities near its main camp to maintain operational efficiency. CEO Colin Padget expresses optimism regarding the potential outcomes of the ongoing drilling campaign, highlighting the capacity for expanding gold mineralization at both Upper Antino and the other promising targets within the expansive 200 km² land package.
In addition to its core drilling activities, Founders Metals is committed to maintaining a sustainable exploration approach. The company continues to monitor environmental conditions closely and adjust its operational strategies accordingly. As the 2025 drilling campaign unfolds, Founders aims to leverage its strong financial standing and operational adaptability to unlock further value at the Antino Gold Project.
