Geisha J. Williams Joins PSEG Board, Enhancing Strategic Leadership
Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated (PSEG) announces the election of Geisha J. Williams to its Board of Directors, effective March 1, 2026. Williams arrives with an extensive background in the energy sector, bringing over 35 years of experience that positions her as a strong asset for the company. Previously, she served as the CEO and president of PG&E Corporation, one of the largest dual electric and gas utilities in the United States, from March 2017 to January 2019. Her leadership at PG&E included overseeing critical operational functions and navigating complex regulatory environments, experiences that are likely to benefit PSEG as it continues to adapt to the evolving energy landscape.
Williams’ tenure at Florida Power and Light, where she spent more than two decades culminating in a vice president role for Power Systems–Distribution, has equipped her with a deep understanding of utility operations. Her proven track record in enhancing system efficiency and safety aligns with PSEG's commitment to providing reliable energy to its customers. Ralph LaRossa, PSEG's Chair, President, and CEO, lauds Williams for her strategic leadership and operational expertise, emphasizing that her industry knowledge will be vital in ensuring that PSEG continues to deliver safe, efficient, and affordable energy solutions. The Board's decision to include Williams reflects a strategic initiative to incorporate diverse perspectives and experiences in governance.
The appointment of Williams marks a significant step in PSEG's ongoing efforts to fortify its leadership team. She is the fifth independent director added to the Board since April 2022, underscoring the company’s dedication to maintaining a balanced mix of tenure and experience. In addition to her role at PSEG, Williams holds several other prominent positions, including serving on the Supervisory Board for Siemens Energy and as an independent director for Artera Services. Her educational background, featuring a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from the University of Miami and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University, further enhances her qualifications to guide PSEG in an increasingly competitive energy sector.
PSEG operates New Jersey's largest transmission and distribution utility, serving approximately 2.4 million electric and 1.9 million natural gas customers. The company also owns a fleet of 3,758 MW of carbon-free nuclear power generating units in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
