Gulfport rollout widens IGT PlaySports reach

International Game Technology PLC is going live with its PlaySports retail sports-betting platform at Island View Casino Resort in Gulfport, Mississippi, under a multi-year technology and services agreement that also covers neighboring Beach View Casino Resort. Patrons at both properties can place a variety of sports wagers through the PlaySports platform and via IGT self-service betting kiosks, marking an expansion of IGT PlaySports’ footprint across multiple Mississippi properties. The rollout is part of a broader push to deepen IGT’s regional presence in the U.S. retail sports-betting market.

IGT deploys its Trading Advisory Services alongside the retail technology to help the casinos streamline operations, tailor offers and localize betting menus to match local market opportunities and player preferences. The advisory service is designed to optimise odds and markets, support staff training and compliance, and drive targeted marketing to increase foot traffic and wagering spend across both properties. Island View’s sportsbook manager Peter Smith says the launch furthers the property’s initiative to enhance patron experiences, while Joe Bertolone, IGT senior vice president for sports betting, highlights the company’s platform and advisory capabilities as central to the partnership.
