Leidos speeds up DODNet migrations for eight Defense agencies
RESTON, Va. — Leidos is accelerating the migration of eight additional Defense Agencies and Field Activities onto DODNet, the Defense Information Systems Agency’s (DISA) modern network environment, the company says. The move follows the company’s earlier transition of five agencies and forms the next phase of the $11.5 billion, 10-year Defense Enclave Services program. Leidos says it will transition more than 100,000 users over the next 18 months, covering personnel from the Defense Finance and Accounting Service, Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Manpower Data Center, Defense Media Activity, Defense Threat Reduction Agency and Missile Defense Agency.
Leidos frames the effort as delivering improved user experience and advancing Zero Trust compliance while bolstering mission readiness across the Defense Department. Heidi VanNoy, vice president and division manager at Leidos, says the accelerated phase is focused on “faster, more seamless migrations to DODNet” to achieve savings through enterprise IT consolidation and to build a unified, resilient network that strengthens security, data access and mission outcomes. The company highlights that these outcomes tie directly to operational continuity for deployed and headquarters users who rely on consistent connectivity and secure information sharing.
The programme demands close coordination with agency stakeholders, rigorous testing and ongoing cybersecurity monitoring, Leidos warns, noting that contractual milestones and migration timelines remain subject to change. The firm says its experience leading DODNet operations since February 2022 — when it consolidated 26 separate networks and 12 help desks into a single environment — underpins the accelerated schedule and migration playbook being applied in this phase.
Operational context and strategy
Leidos positions the DODNet work as a central element of its NorthStar 2030 growth strategy, which emphasizes digital modernization and cyber solutions across defence and civilian markets. The company cites prior consolidation achievements and technical orchestration as evidence of its ability to scale support to multiple agencies simultaneously while maintaining security baselines and service levels.
Contract governance and public disclosures
Leidos includes standard SEC forward-looking statements with the announcement and directs stakeholders to program details on its website and in its filings. The company reiterates that the accelerated schedule increases coordination and testing needs and that risk factors could alter timing or scope as migrations proceed.
