Leidos speeds DODNet migrations for eight Defense agencies

Leidos is accelerating the migration of eight additional Defense agencies onto DODNet, the Defense Information Systems Agency’s modern enterprise network, in a move it says will transition more than 100,000 users over the next 18 months. The work forms the next phase of the $11.5 billion, 10-year Defense Enclave Services program and builds on the company’s earlier migration of five agencies this year. Agencies slated for the accelerated roll‑out include the Defense Finance and Accounting Service, Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Manpower Data Center, Defense Media Activity, Defense Threat Reduction Agency and Missile Defense Agency.

Company officials say the faster schedule aims to improve user experience and advance Zero Trust security compliance while supporting mission readiness across Defense components. Heidi VanNoy, vice president and division manager at Leidos, describes the phase as “executing faster, more seamless migrations to DODNet to achieve greater savings and efficiencies through enterprise IT consolidation” and to realize a unified, resilient network that strengthens security, data access and mission outcomes. Leidos is managing detailed coordination with individual agency stakeholders and conducting rigorous testing and continuous cybersecurity monitoring as part of each migration wave.

Leidos also frames the accelerated migrations as a step toward broader digital modernization and cyber resilience under its NorthStar 2030 growth strategy. The company has operated DODNet since February 2022, consolidating 26 separate networks and 12 help desks into a single optimized environment, and says the program will allow it to scale enterprise IT consolidation across Defense. Leidos expects the program to deliver operational efficiencies and standardized services across dispersed user communities that rely on secure, resilient connectivity for defense missions.

Company context and scale

Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, Leidos employs about 47,000 people globally and reports roughly $16.7 billion in annual revenue for the fiscal year ended January 3, 2025. The firm positions digital modernization and cyber solutions at the center of its defense and national security contracts.

Risks, oversight and disclosure

Leidos issues the usual SEC forward‑looking statements and cautions that contractual milestones, migration timelines and program outcomes remain subject to change. The company says stakeholders can find program details and contractual information on its website and in its public filings as it coordinates closely with Defense stakeholders to manage risks and maintain continuity of operations.
