American Pipelining Solutions (APS) is rolling out the UV XAIR, a compact ultraviolet curing system for small-diameter trenchless pipe relining that exemplifies device-design trends now drawing interest from medical-device makers including Beyond Air. The UV XAIR pairs a single light head that cures 3- to 24-inch pipes with wireless tablet control, cloud-based data management and field-replaceable components, aiming to reduce on-site downtime and ownership costs. For respiratory-device companies, those same attributes — single-platform versatility, remote software updates, cloud reporting and easy parts replacement — translate into faster deployment, lower service burden and tighter clinical or operational oversight.

Beyond Air, which develops portable inhaled therapeutics, shares industry incentives with trenchless-equipment suppliers: devices used in distributed settings require robust remote support and minimal field maintenance to ensure continuous patient access.
