Motorola Solutions Transforms AI Infrastructure with Next-Gen Supercomputer
Motorola Solutions (MSI) recently unveils its cutting-edge XpertStation WS300, a deskside AI supercomputer engineered to meet the growing demands for large language models and generative AI. This new system is powered by NVIDIA's GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Desktop Superchip and provides a robust solution with up to 748GB of coherent memory and dual 400GbE networking capabilities. The WS300 is designed to deliver high processing efficiency while occupying a compact form factor, catering to organizations' needs without sacrificing performance. MSI's General Manager of Enterprise Platform Solutions, Danny Hsu, highlights the company’s commitment to "AI-first computing," emphasizing a drive to enhance the transition from experimentation to full-scale production environments.
Further enhancing its capabilities, the WS300 integrates advanced CPU-GPU data sharing features, utilizing high-bandwidth HBM3e GPU memory alongside LPDDR5X CPU memory. This integration is pivotal for extensive model training and fine-tuning processes, making MSI's new offering suitable for tackling complex data science workflows. The system's dual 400GbE connectivity allows for up to 800Gb/s of networking bandwidth, significantly advancing scalability for distributed AI tasks. Additionally, the incorporation of high-speed PCIe Gen5 and Gen6 NVMe storage ensures rapid data processing, ultimately improving the overall efficiency of AI workflows.
Notably, the XpertStation WS300 fully supports the NVIDIA AI Software Stack, which is crucial for seamless AI development from desktop to data center environments. This compatibility enables organizations to manage the entire AI lifecycle—from data analytics and model training to real-time inference and implementation of advanced applications. As the demand for localized deep learning capabilities increases, the WS300 emerges as an invaluable resource for institutions aiming to optimize their vast datasets while maintaining high throughput and efficiency. Motorola Solutions aims to not only enhance AI infrastructure but also to bridge cloud computing with autonomous edge inspection and smart technologies.
In addition to the WS300, MSI also showcases its comprehensive AI ecosystem at NVIDIA's GTC 2026 event, introducing a suite of servers crafted on the NVIDIA MGX architecture, including the OmniGuard smart patrol vehicle that utilizes NVIDIA’s Vision-Language-Action model. These developments underline MSI's ambition to provide end-to-end solutions that range from high-performance AI infrastructure to practical applications in the field.
As Motorola Solutions positions itself at the forefront of AI technology, its commitment to innovating more powerful computing solutions reflects the growing importance of AI in various sectors, advocating for efficiency and supporting organizations in their endeavors toward effective and intelligent systems.
