Oracle embeds prebuilt, role-based AI agents across its Fusion cloud suite
Oracle is rolling out prebuilt, role-based AI agents that are natively embedded in its Fusion Cloud Applications, the company announces at its AI World Tour in Mumbai. The agents run on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and are available to customers at no additional licensing cost, aiming to convert slow, reactive sales, marketing and service processes into proactive, revenue-generating workflows. Chris Leone, Oracle’s EVP of Applications Development, says the agents use unified enterprise data to automate tasks, surface predictive insights and accelerate time-to-insight for customer-facing teams.
The initial set of CX agents includes Program Planning, Program Brief, Program Orchestration, Buying Group, Customer Insights and Audience Analysis agents that generate briefs, translate plans into tactics and identify high-propensity accounts. On the supply‑chain side, Oracle introduces Planning Cycle, Component Replacement, Planning Measure Expression, Autonomous Sourcing and Maintenance Work Order Cost Estimation agents designed to speed planning cycles, recommend alternatives, run competitive sourcing events and estimate maintenance costs. Oracle emphasizes the agents are pre‑trained for common scenarios, embed into existing workflows, and leverage OCI security, governance and scalability to reduce manual work and support measurable productivity gains.
The move positions Oracle to deepen AI-driven automation across enterprise operations and to lock customers into its cloud stack for both applications and AI execution. By packaging agents within Fusion Applications and avoiding separate fees, Oracle seeks to accelerate adoption among customers that are reluctant to undertake large customization projects. Market observers note the announcement underscores a broader industry trend of embedding generative AI into packaged enterprise software to convert data into operational decisions and to shorten the path from AI proof-of-concept to production use.
Hospitals migrate EHRs to OCI, pilot clinical AI
Separately, five hospitals in Ontario’s Erie St. Clair region migrate their Oracle Health Foundation electronic health record to OCI, reporting average page‑load wait times down 71% and faster system readiness that enables pilots of the Oracle Health Clinical AI Agent. Hillsboro Health in Illinois also adopts Oracle Health Foundation EHR, Clinical AI Agent and Seamless Exchange to standardize documentation and speed access to consolidated patient records.
Legal actions allege misstatements on AI capex
Oracle faces securities class actions brought by Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check LLP and Levi & Korsinsky, which allege the company misled investors about AI infrastructure spending and the timing of related revenue. The suits cover purchases between June 12 and Dec. 16, 2025, and set an April 6, 2026 deadline for potential lead plaintiffs to move for appointment.
