Quarterhill Strengthens Partnership with INDOT on $13M Transportation Infrastructure Agreements

Quarterhill Inc. has significantly strengthened its partnership with the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) through two new Quantity Purchase Award agreements valued at $13 million. These contracts, set to commence on May 1, 2026, and extend until April 30, 2030, focus on enhancing INDOT's Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) and Virtual Weigh-in-Motion (VWIM) systems.

Quarterhill's engagement involves a comprehensive range of services including equipment provision, software implementation, installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair services for statewide WIM and VWIM sites. This initiative seeks to boost roadway safety, enable optimized infrastructure planning, and elevate freight efficiency by utilizing data-driven solutions to enhance the state's transportation infrastructure.

The WIM systems deliver high-accuracy vehicle weight and classification data, which is essential for effective transportation planning and asset management. Additionally, the VWIM systems enhance these functionalities by offering real-time connectivity and image capture, thereby improving the vehicle screening process and facilitating more robust data collection.
