Silicom Ltd., an Israeli maker of high-performance networking and data infrastructure equipment, is winning a new design-selection from a Tier‑1 cyber security leader for one of its Edge systems, the company says. Initial orders exceed $1 million for delivery through 2026, with Silicom expecting a production ramp to roughly $2 million per year as engineering, supply chain and production schedules are finalized.

Edge Platform Selection Deepens Multi‑Year Customer Relationship

The deal represents a deepening of a multi‑year relationship that began with networking server adapters, Silicom’s CEO Liron Eizenman says, and marks a step up to a more sophisticated Edge platform. He frames the award as evidence that the company can convert long‑term trust, technology and execution into successive, additive design wins rather than product cannibalization. Quantities are staged for delivery through 2026 while parties complete integration and manufacturing timelines.

Silicom positions the selection as part of a broader strategy to stack solutions across product families — from high‑speed server adapters and hardware offload engines to AI NICs and FPGA‑based smart cards — enabling customers to deploy layered, interoperable platforms at Cloud, Data Center and Edge locations. The company highlights that predictable, multi‑year engagements create repeatable revenue streams that fund research into AI inference, post‑quantum cryptography (PQC) accelerators and white‑label switching, areas it views as potential upside beyond its core business.

Silicom underscores a comprehensive portfolio that includes Edge CPEs, white‑label switches, NFV and fabric switching solutions now deployed by Tier‑1 customers globally. Initial purchase orders are in hand and the company says it is continuing discussions about additional product lines with the same customer.
