SK Telecom is marking six months of operations for Haein, its GPU cluster for GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS), and is highlighting the platform’s role in accelerating large-scale AI work. Haein combines hardware and an integrated software stack—Petasus AI Cloud, AI Cloud Manager and GPUaaS Service Orchestrator—to deliver an end-to-end environment for model development, training and deployment. The company says the platform enables faster experimentation and improved training efficiency by letting teams move seamlessly from infrastructure provisioning to model execution.

At the infrastructure layer, Petasus AI Cloud virtualizes heterogeneous xPU environments and dynamically allocates transport protocols such as NVLink, InfiniBand and RoCEv2, allowing flexible partitioning and assignment of large GPU clusters. SK Telecom reports that Petasus virtualization provides fully segregated tenant environments by logically isolating both GPU and network fabric in under an hour, a substantial reduction from physical isolation that can take days to weeks depending on cluster size. That capability supports secure multi-tenancy while preserving performance for large model workloads.

AI Cloud Manager and the GPUaaS Service Orchestrator together manage scale and visibility. AI Cloud Manager provides intelligent job scheduling and multi-tenant user environments so multiple teams can train massive models concurrently with predictable performance and optimal utilization. The GPUaaS Service Orchestrator offers unified, real-time visibility into GPU, network and storage resources, generating actionable insights that stabilise job execution and reduce operational overhead. SK Telecom says the combined stack streamlines configuration and validation, shortens deployment lead times and lowers total cost of ownership for customers and partners.
