S&T reimagines flagship branch as model for people-first banking
S&T Bank is launching a multiphase branch refresh program that reimagines physical locations to support relationship-driven, people-forward banking, starting with its main office at 800 Philadelphia Street in Indiana, Pennsylvania. The program converts traditional branch layouts into brighter, more open spaces with enhanced lighting, fresh paint, new flooring, upgraded furniture and branded finishes. Interiors are designed to create flexible areas for everyday transactions and deeper strategic financial conversations, reflecting the bank’s emphasis on in-person relationship banking.
Bank executives say the refreshed main office will serve as a template for updates across S&T’s footprint through 2026 and beyond. Construction at the Indiana flagship opens sightlines and creates a more collaborative floor plan intended to welcome customers and promote employee interaction. Jason Forman, S&T’s chief consumer and business banking officer, says the changes mirror how customers bank today by combining personalized service with intentionally designed spaces, while President Dave Antolik adds that consistent branch and select office updates are meant to support both customers and teams.
The program also contemplates exterior improvements at some locations, including renovated drive-up lanes and upgraded ATMs, and S&T says each refreshed site will be tailored to its community while maintaining a consistent look that reinforces the bank’s brand. The company plans to publish additional schedules and details as work progresses and to adapt designs to local needs to enhance customer engagement and operational consistency.
Community preview and in-branch events
S&T invites the local community to tour the refreshed Indiana main office between Feb. 18 and Feb. 21, offering complimentary coffee and refreshments and exclusive in-branch offers during the opening preview. The bank frames the event as a chance for customers to experience the new layout and for staff to demonstrate how the space supports more personal, advisory interactions.
Corporate context and scale
S&T Bank is the wholly owned retail banking subsidiary of S&T Bancorp, Inc., a $9.9 billion bank holding company headquartered in Indiana, Pennsylvania. The refresh initiative forms part of a longer-term capital investment strategy focused on physical locations and customer-facing environments rather than digital-only changes, with additional branch and office updates planned across the company’s regional footprint.
