Standard Textile expands CALA distribution network — a model for industrial suppliers like ParkerHannifin
- ParkerHannifin could mirror Standard Textile’s regional, service-focused distribution strategy for segmented, high-service markets. • Using local distributors reduces lead times, improves after-sales support, and boosts adoption—applicable to ParkerHannifin. • Networked distributors can supply inventory, technical service and training in diverse markets, benefiting ParkerHannifin.
Regional distribution push offers a model for industrial suppliers like ParkerHannifin
Standard Textile is expanding its distribution network across the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) through partnerships with A Plus (Central de Uniformes) and PH Interamericas, a move that underscores the value of localised channels for manufacturers of complex equipment and components. The Cincinnati-based hospitality-textiles firm is placing regional service and operational support at the centre of its strategy, a tactic that industrial suppliers such as ParkerHannifin may mirror when serving segmented markets with high service requirements. By handing distribution to established local players, manufacturers can reduce lead times, strengthen after-sales support and improve adoption among tiered customers from budget properties to luxury resorts.
The arrangement assigns PH Interamericas responsibility for eight countries — Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Peru, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua — while A Plus covers Panama and Chile with scope to expand. Standard Textile stresses that deep regional expertise and customer relationships are the rationale, enabling logistics, installation and maintenance to be managed closer to end users. For industrial suppliers in motion control, filtration and aerospace components, the approach highlights how networked distributors can deliver inventory, technical service and training in culturally and operationally diverse markets, lowering barriers for multinational account growth.
Executives are pitching the push as more than sales expansion; it is a service and operations play that dovetails with product engineering. Standard Textile emphasizes product engineering that reduces operating costs for customers — a Capitol terry collection re-engineered for CALA and woven and finished in the U.S. using patented weaving technology is intended to deliver measurable operational savings for hospitality operators. That alignment of product design with localised distribution mirrors practices in industrial manufacturing, where component standardisation and field service capabilities often determine market success.
Capitol Collection and Mascioni luxury line
Standard Textile is promoting its Capitol Collection terry line for CALA and introducing the Mascioni Hotel Collection, an Italian luxury brand targeted at upscale properties. The company highlights more than 150 patents supporting its hospitality portfolio and says the new regional partnerships accelerate access to these engineered textiles.
Partners and leadership
A Plus Supply, part of Grupo Central de Uniformes and based in Panama City, and PH Interamericas both emphasise service, quality and long-term customer support. Gary Heiman, Standard Textile chairman and CEO, says expanding the distributor network “ensures that we’re meeting our customers where they are” and underscores the importance of strong local partners to support evolving hospitality needs.
