This unique competition invites participants to design and create prom outfits entirely from Duck Tape®, a product well-known for its versatility and vibrant colors. As the event kicks off on March 25, 2026, contestants can submit photos of their original prom dresses and tuxedos until June 3, fostering a spirit of innovation and craftsmanship among young minds.
This year, the contest introduces a compelling new category that resonates with the upcoming celebration of America's 250th anniversary. The patriotic-themed category not only adds an exciting twist but also encourages students to incorporate rich cultural heritage into their designs. Participants will be evaluated based on principles of workmanship, originality, and creativity by a panel of judges, with the top ten finalists gaining recognition for their outstanding efforts. The contest ultimately culminates in an engaging voting phase from June 29 to July 13, where the public can select the Grand Prize winners, each of whom will be awarded a $10,000 scholarship.
