Bridgestone Advances Tire Technology with Sustainability Focus
At the recent 2025 Technology & Maintenance Council Annual Meeting, Bridgestone Americas showcases its commitment to innovation and sustainability in tire manufacturing. The company introduces two groundbreaking tire models: the Bridgestone R273 Ecopia and the Bridgestone Duravis M705. Both products feature the next-generation ENLITEN technology, which not only boosts performance but also emphasizes environmental responsibility, aligning with industry trends towards greener practices.
The R273 Ecopia is specifically designed for regional trucking, incorporating a new tread compound and pattern that minimizes shoulder wear while maximizing mileage. This tire also boasts an enhanced casing that significantly improves fuel efficiency through low rolling resistance, making it a practical choice for fleet operators looking to reduce operational costs. The Ecopia will be available in six sizes, including popular options like 295/75R22.5 and 11R22.5, later this year. This addition is expected to solidify Bridgestone’s position in the regional trucking segment, catering to a growing demand for high-performance, fuel-efficient tires.
Meanwhile, the Duravis M705 targets mixed fleets involved in last-mile delivery and pick-up and delivery services. It stands out as the first tire in this category to utilize ENLITEN technology, featuring robust sidewall protectors for enhanced durability and retreading capabilities. The mixed tread design, equipped with 3D sipes, ensures improved wear characteristics and provides a Three Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) designation for reliable winter performance. Scheduled for release in the latter half of 2025, the Duravis M705 will be available in three sizes—215/75R17.5, 225/70R19.5, and 245/70R19.5—complementing the existing offerings of the Duravis M70.
