A New Era in Energy Transmission: Transource Energy and BHE Transmission’s Groundbreaking Project

Transource Energy, in collaboration with BHE Transmission, takes a significant step forward in modernizing the energy infrastructure in the Midwest with the announcement of the Bell Center-Columbia–Sugar Creek–IL/WI State Line 765 kV-Competitive Transmission Project (BECI). This nearly 200-mile transmission line project, recently selected by the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), represents a pivotal $1.2 billion investment aimed at bolstering grid reliability and meeting the escalating energy demands across the MISO region.
