Abu Dhabi embeds ADI Chain into hotel guest journeys
Analog Devices’ ADI Foundation and South Korea’s H2O Hospitality announce a strategic partnership in Abu Dhabi to integrate sovereign‑grade ADI Chain blockchain infrastructure into real‑world hospitality and travel services. The agreement positions ADI Chain to power digital wallets, identity and compliant payment rails that allow visitors to open a wallet on arrival and use a soon‑to‑be‑launched Dirham‑backed stablecoin for purchases across a guest’s entire stay. H2O will embed the technology into its smart check‑in systems and distribute it through its guest‑facing platforms in the UAE and beyond.
The partners frame the initiative as a means to streamline onboarding at scale and remove friction for guests who lack blockchain experience, enabling frictionless payments from check‑in to on‑site consumption. ADI Foundation says the regulated architecture supports faster settlement times, lower transaction costs and secure identity and transaction flows while preserving compliance and data‑privacy standards. ADI will develop and integrate the digital solutions; H2O Hospitality leads deployment, testing the technology across hotels, retailers and on‑site service providers.
Officials say the project links customer journey data directly to ADI Chain to encourage Dirham stablecoin adoption, support loyalty and rewards programmes, and bridge fintech with tourism as the UAE pursues economic diversification. Ajay Bhatia, a principal council member of the ADI Foundation, says the collaboration aims to make blockchain “practical for hospitality,” driving operational efficiency and analytics‑driven personalisation while creating new business opportunities for local service providers and international operators.
Radar sensing momentum underscores ADI’s hardware role
Separately, industry commentary highlights rapid adoption of radar and mmWave radio‑frequency sensing for vulnerable road user (VRU) detection in automotive and smart‑city applications, noting RF platforms often outperform cameras in poor weather and low light. A live demonstration in Italy by VisionWave and SaverOne showcases RF detection for commercial vehicles and underscores growing municipal and OEM interest in radar‑based safety stacks.
The report cites a global VRU detection market expanding from roughly $2.1 billion in 2024 to an expected more than $6 billion by 2033 and names Analog Devices among key suppliers. As regulators tighten pedestrian and cyclist safety requirements and cities invest in intelligent transport systems, ADI’s sensor and signal‑processing expertise positions it to supply components and subsystems across vehicle and infrastructure deployments.
