Ballard Power Systems has secured a pivotal commercial agreement with New Flyer, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., to supply 500 FCmove®-HD+ fuel cell engines, corresponding to 50 megawatts of power. This partnership marks the largest commitment New Flyer has made to date in their collaboration with Ballard, which spans over a decade. The fuel cell engines will be integrated into New Flyer’s Xcelsior CHARGE FC™ hydrogen fuel cell buses, with deliveries expected to commence in 2026.
