Bristow Elevates In-House Counsel to Chief Legal Officer
Strengthening Legal and Government Affairs Ahead of Global Expansion
Bristow Group announces on Feb. 23, 2026 that Anne Rappold is named Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, effective immediately. Rappold, who has served as Acting Chief Legal Officer since August 2025, continues to lead the company's global Legal and Government Affairs functions and assumes formal responsibility for legal, compliance and government affairs across Bristow's operations.
The company says Rappold works closely with the executive leadership team to support Bristow’s strategic priorities, which include safety, sustainability and global service expansion. Her promotion follows a tenure that began in June 2023 as Deputy General Counsel, Americas and Global Risk Management, and a prior role as Vice President, Government Affairs, Risk & Compliance at Freeport LNG, plus earlier insurance defense practice in New Orleans. Bristow frames the appointment as strengthening governance and regulatory engagement at a time when offshore aviation and search-and-rescue services face evolving safety and environmental standards.
Chris Bradshaw, Bristow’s president and chief executive, praises Rappold’s performance in the acting role and formally appoints her to steer legal strategy as the company pursues contracts and operations spanning multiple jurisdictions. The move underscores a focus on embedding legal and compliance oversight into commercial growth, particularly in markets with complex regulatory regimes for helicopter and fixed-wing operations supporting energy and government customers.
Operational footprint and services
Bristow describes itself as a leading global provider of vertical flight solutions, offering helicopter services to offshore energy companies and government entities, including personnel transportation, search-and-rescue, medevac, unmanned systems, fixed‑wing regional airline operations in Australia, and aircraft dry‑leasing. The company lists customers and operations across Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, the Dutch Caribbean, the Falklands, Ireland, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Spain, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, the UK and the United States.
Release and investor contact
The appointment is announced via a PR Newswire release that notes the change aligns with Bristow’s emphasis on safety and sustainability. Investors may direct inquiries to Jennifer Whalen at [email protected], and the company’s website remains www.bristowgroup.com for additional corporate and operational details.
