CNOOC Limited has officially commenced production at the Dongfang 1-1 Gas Field 13-3 Block Development Project, a landmark initiative in offshore natural gas exploitation in China. The project, which began production on July 29, 2025, is notable for being the first high-temperature, high-pressure, low-permeability natural gas development offshore China. Located in the Yinggehai Basin at an average water depth of approximately 67 meters, this venture showcases CNOOC's commitment to advancing its capabilities in challenging environments.
