CryoPort Expands European Presence with New Facility in France
CryoPort, Inc. announces the opening of its new 55,000-square-foot facility in Louvres, France, through its subsidiary Cryoport Systems. Strategically located near Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, this facility forms an integral part of Cryoport’s Global Supply Chain Center (GSCC) network, which aims to address the intricate logistics demands of the biopharmaceutical industry. As the market for advanced therapies—including cell and gene therapies and biologics—continues to grow, this expansion enables Cryoport to enhance its operational capabilities and responsiveness in Europe.
The facility is operational immediately, providing critical logistics support tailored to the biopharma sector. In addition to current offerings, Cryoport plans to introduce BioServices, biostorage, and Importer of Record (IOR) services shortly after launch. CEO Jerrell Shelton underscores that this facility significantly strengthens Cryoport's capacity to manage temperature-sensitive products securely and compliantly, addressing the urgent needs of healthcare providers and patients alike. This development is a strategic move to ensure that Cryoport meets the increasing demand for reliable supply chain solutions in an industry where precision and safety are paramount.
Furthermore, the new center boasts 24-hour worldwide dispatch capabilities, allowing Cryoport to enhance its proprietary shipping systems while adhering to the highest standards of quality oversight. The establishment of the Paris GSCC has also received support from the Île-de-France region through a grant aimed at fostering local economic growth. An official grand opening event is scheduled for November 20, 2025, bringing together local dignitaries and industry leaders to commemorate this significant milestone in CryoPort's operational expansion.
In addition to bolstering its European footprint, CryoPort's new facility represents a pivotal step in supporting clinical and commercial programs in the biopharmaceutical sector. By ensuring the efficient delivery of critical therapies, CryoPort reinforces its commitment to improving patient access to advanced medical treatments. As the demand for temperature-controlled logistics continues to rise, CryoPort's proactive expansion highlights its dedication to advancing the life sciences industry while fostering local economic development.
