Domino's Pizza Partners with Fire Safety Experts to Promote Community Awareness
In a proactive move to bolster community safety, Domino's Pizza Inc. teams up with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) for its 18th consecutive year to promote fire safety during Fire Prevention Week from October 5-11, 2025. This partnership aims to educate the public on the importance of fire safety while providing a unique customer experience. As part of the campaign, customers ordering from participating Domino's stores in the U.S. may receive their pizza alongside a fire engine. If customers can demonstrate that their smoke alarms are operational, they will be rewarded with a free pizza. Conversely, for those without functioning smoke alarms, firefighters will assist by replacing batteries or installing new alarms, thereby prioritizing public safety.
This year's campaign theme, "Charge into Fire Safety™: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home," focuses on educating consumers about the risks associated with lithium-ion batteries, which are commonly used in many household devices. Domino's includes informative flyers with their pizza boxes, detailing essential tips on purchasing, charging, and recycling these batteries. The initiative not only seeks to deliver pizza but also emphasizes the responsibility that businesses have in raising awareness about fire safety issues. Jenny Fouracre, Domino's senior director of external communications, expresses enthusiasm for collaborating with local fire departments to convey vital safety messages engagingly.
Lorraine Carli, NFPA's vice president of outreach and advocacy, stresses the critical need for working smoke alarms in homes, as most fire fatalities occur in residential settings. The partnership between Domino's and the NFPA underscores a collective commitment to enhancing community safety while fostering a culture of awareness regarding fire hazards. As Domino's continues to leverage its brand influence for social good, the campaign stands as a testament to the company's dedication to corporate responsibility and community engagement, ensuring that safety remains a priority in the homes it serves.
Through this initiative, Domino's not only enhances its community presence but also reinforces the vital message that fire safety is a shared responsibility. As fire-related incidents continue to pose serious risks in residential areas, such efforts are crucial in equipping families with the knowledge and resources they need to prevent emergencies.
