Duck® Brand’s Stuck at Prom® Contest Encourages Creativity and Crafting Among Students
The Duck® brand, renowned for its versatile adhesive products, recently launches its 26th annual Stuck at Prom® Scholarship Contest, aimed specifically at high school students in the United States and Canada. This unique competition invites participants to design their own prom attire entirely from Duck Tape®, fostering creativity while promoting the art of crafting. Students can enter the contest from March 25 through June 3, 2026, by submitting photos of their original creations. What sets this year apart is the introduction of a patriotic-themed category, corresponding with the celebration of America's 250th anniversary, allowing students to explore national pride through fashion.
The contest emphasizes originality, craftsmanship, and innovation, with entries judged by a panel that selects the top 10 finalists. From June 29 to July 13, online voting will engage the community as it determines the Grand Prize winners, who will each secure a $10,000 scholarship. Additionally, eight runners-up will each earn $1,000, along with Duck® brand prize packs valued at $100. Special categories like "Runway Worthy," "Most Inspiring," and "Trust E.'s Choice" offer further opportunities to win additional $1,000 prizes, encouraging students to push the boundaries of creativity and expression. The introduction of the Red, White & Made By You award promises to enrich the competition by rewarding four entries that embrace patriotic themes with a $250 cash prize each.
Beyond its immediate benefits, such as scholarships and prizes, the Stuck at Prom® contest serves a broader purpose: to inspire a generation of young creators. Through this initiative, Duck® brand has distributed more than half a million dollars in scholarships over the years, nurturing not just students' fashion skills but also promoting a culture of innovation and self-expression. The contest aligns with a growing recognition of the importance of arts and crafts in educational settings, highlighting how such activities can benefit personal development and bolster essential life skills, including problem-solving and ingenuity. Winners will be announced around July 20, 2026, but the impact of this program extends far beyond the contest itself, establishing a legacy of creativity in youth that resonates within and beyond their communities.
