Eagle Merchant Partners Invests in ES Integrated to Drive Expansion in Environmental Services
Eagle Merchant Partners, a private equity firm based in Atlanta, makes a significant move by investing in ES Integrated (ESI), a leading provider of industrial cleaning, environmental, and waste services in the Southeastern United States. Established in 2001 and headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, ESI has successfully expanded its footprint across eight locations, serving diverse sectors such as chemicals, manufacturing, energy, pulp and paper, and government. The partnership aims to leverage ESI's existing management team, including CEO Jamie Lynch, to accelerate growth through geographic expansion, service line enhancement, and strategic acquisitions.
Under the strategic investment, ESI's leadership will remain intact, ensuring continuity and stability as the company embarks on its growth journey. Lynch is optimistic about the collaboration, emphasizing the additional resources and strategic support from Eagle that will enhance service delivery and drive exceptional value for customers and communities. This investment aligns with Eagle Merchant Partners' mission of creating long-term value in founder-owned companies, particularly in the commercial services sector. Brady Sumner, a principal at Eagle, commends ESI's operational excellence and expresses eagerness to facilitate the company's development.
The investment in ESI marks Eagle's third platform investment from its recently closed Fund II, which totals $415 million. This fund specifically targets founder-owned, lower middle-market companies in the Southeast, with a commitment to fostering growth in the commercial services arena. With this latest investment, Eagle Merchant Partners reinforces its focus on enhancing the capabilities of companies like ESI, positioning them for long-term success and expansion in the rapidly evolving environmental services landscape.
In addition to the investment, Founders Advisors serves as financial advisors for ESI, while Piper Sandler provides advisory services to Eagle. Legal support for both parties is provided by Butler Snow for ESI and King & Spalding for Eagle. Debt financing for the deal is sourced from Private Credit at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, showcasing a robust financial backing for ESI's growth initiatives. As the environmental services sector continues to evolve, ESI is well-positioned to capitalize on new opportunities with the support of Eagle Merchant Partners.
