Haifa defence group wins multi‑year programme to build new land combat capability

HAIFA, Israel — Elbit Systems says it is awarded multiple contracts totalling about $435 million by an international customer to supply advanced land systems and to execute a six‑year development programme to create an innovative defence solution. The company says the work is performed over six years and reflects customer confidence in its operationally proven systems and ability to develop strategic, future‑oriented capabilities.

Elbit says the programme combines deliveries of current-generation land systems with a structured development track aimed at producing an integrated, next‑generation capability for the customer. Company officials say the package couples fielded platforms and munitions with a multi‑year engineering effort that will iterate on software, sensors and modular vehicle interfaces to meet evolving battlefield requirements. Elbit President and CEO Bezhalel (Butzi) Machlis says the award underlines the company’s role in delivering both immediate operational capability and longer‑term technological roadmaps.

The company emphasises that the programme leverages its agile, collaborative culture and ties to Israel’s technology ecosystem to accelerate development cycles and sustainment planning. Elbit says the development phase will focus on open architecture modularity to allow conversion between manned and unmanned configurations, integration of advanced sighting and missile systems, and scalable sustainment solutions for expeditionary operations. The firm adds the contracts include customary terms and schedules and are subject to the usual regulatory and contractual conditions.

Additional award for 30 mm turrets and munitions

Elbit separately says it wins a roughly $277 million contract from an international customer to supply UT30MK2 30 mm turrets and munitions over three years. The company says the configurable turret supports manned and unmanned modes, integrates a 30 mm main gun, coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun and anti‑tank guided missiles, and is designed for rapid integration on armoured personnel carriers without compromising troop protection.

Elbit, a global defence‑technology company based in Haifa, says it employs about 20,000 people across five continents, reports quarterly revenues of $1,922 million for the three months ended Sept. 30, 2025, and carries a $25.2 billion order backlog as of that date.
