FETV and FMC Bring Holiday Cheer with Classic Christmas Programming
Family Entertainment Television (FETV) and its sister network, FMC, announce an exciting return of their second annual "Classic Christmas" programming event, designed to delight families and movie lovers alike. Kicking off in November and running through Christmas Day, the event promises a rich selection of timeless holiday films and television specials, reinforcing the networks' commitment to family-friendly content. FETV will present "Merry Matinees," showcasing themed pairings of beloved Christmas classics every weekend at 3 p.m. ET, while FMC will offer "Silver Bells and Silver Screens," a nightly series featuring heartwarming holiday favorites.
Among the highlights of FETV's schedule, viewers can look forward to special presentations such as "Duke the Halls" on November 1st and 2nd, which features John Wayne classics like "3 Godfathers" (1948) and "Donovan's Reef" (1963). Thanksgiving night will include a cherished screening of "Miracle on 34th Street," a film that has become a staple of holiday viewing. Additionally, FETV plans to air episodes from iconic series such as "The Waltons" and "The Brady Bunch" on November 22nd and 23rd, further enriching the holiday experience for its audience.
FMC, which launched in 2021, complements FETV’s offerings with a focus on films from the 1930s to the 1980s. Special programming includes a Bing Crosby double feature on November 2nd, highlighting the timeless appeal of classic cinema. Adam Sumrall, Executive Vice President of both networks, underscores the importance of family-friendly entertainment during the holiday season, emphasizing that these programming events are designed to create memorable moments for viewers, fostering traditions that families can enjoy together.
In addition to their holiday programming, FETV and FMC continue to expand their reach, with FETV now available in nearly 50 million homes. Both networks are independently owned by Family Broadcasting Company, which maintains its headquarters in South Bend, Indiana, alongside an office in New York City. This strategic positioning allows them to cater to a broad audience while remaining dedicated to delivering quality entertainment that resonates with family values. The holiday season is a critical time for networks like FETV and FMC, as families seek out nostalgic content that brings them together, making this year's "Classic Christmas" event a significant initiative in sustaining their mission.
