Quarterra Multifamily Launches Leasing for Innovative Apartment Community on Treasure Island

Quarterra Multifamily, a division of Lennar Corporation, has officially initiated leasing for Hawkins, a newly developed mid-rise apartment community situated on Treasure Island in San Francisco. With the first move-ins anticipated for February 2025, Hawkins represents a significant addition to the area’s residential offerings. Designed by the architectural firm Mark Cavagnero Associates, the project features a total of 178 residential units that cater to a variety of living preferences, including studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. The residential layout includes both walk-up units and penthouses, with sizes ranging from 456 to 1,661 square feet, accommodating diverse lifestyles.

The Hawkins community is not only designed for comfort but also emphasizes modern living with upscale amenities. Each apartment boasts expansive kitchens outfitted with quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances, while luxury vinyl plank flooring adds a touch of elegance to the interiors. The bedrooms are designed with oversized windows to maximize natural light, and the bathrooms feature stylish tile flooring that further enhances the luxurious feel of the living spaces. Beyond individual units, the development includes 1,500 square feet of retail space and a beautifully landscaped central courtyard, offering residents both convenience and community engagement.

Hawkins is a key component of the broader Treasure Island Community Development initiative, which aims to create a vibrant neighborhood with 8,000 new homes, cultural attractions, and ample open space. Spanning 300 acres, this initiative envisions a thriving waterfront community complete with 22 miles of trails. Located strategically at 77 Burton Street, Hawkins provides residents with easy access to downtown San Francisco via the nearby Treasure Island Ferry Landing, allowing for an efficient 8-minute ferry ride to the SoMA business district. As highlighted by Kristen Mete Kingi, AVP of Marketing for Quarterra, Hawkins plays a pivotal role in the revitalization of Treasure Island, contributing to the enhancement of the area’s historical and cultural landscape.

In addition to its residential offerings, the development aims to foster a sense of community among its residents. The combination of modern apartments, retail spaces, and communal areas is designed to create an engaging environment that encourages interaction and connectivity. This aligns with the overall vision for Treasure Island, which seeks to blend residential living with cultural enrichment and outdoor recreational opportunities.

As Hawkins progresses toward its opening, it stands as a promising example of urban development that prioritizes both quality of life and community engagement. The project not only addresses housing needs in San Francisco but also contributes to the transformation of Treasure Island into a dynamic and inclusive neighborhood.
