In a significant announcement, LaRoyce Hawkins, an actor well-known for his role on "Chicago P.D.," is set to serve as the Grand Marshal for the 96th Annual Bud Billiken® Parade, scheduled for August 9, 2025. As the largest African American parade in the United States, this iconic event celebrates youth, education, and community excellence. The 2025 parade carries the theme "Road to 100," marking its impending centennial anniversary, and Hawkins expresses his heartfelt gratitude for the honor, reflecting on the impactful memories he holds from attending the parade as a child in Harvey, Illinois.
