Iridium Communications Inc. (IRDM) announces its strategic acquisition of Aireon LLC, significantly enhancing its role in global aviation safety. This deal integrates Aireon’s space-based Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) technology with Iridium's satellite services, positioning the company to address the increasing demands for safe and effective air traffic management.

The integration of Aireon's advanced surveillance capabilities allows Iridium to track an average of 190,000 flights daily, ensuring real-time data flow and complete global coverage, as certified by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
