ETI Expands Global Footprint with Acquisition of AeroMaritime Mediterranean
Essential Turbines Inc. (ETI), a leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for aircraft engines, announces a significant strategic move with its agreement to acquire AeroMaritime Mediterranean (AeroMaritime) from ITP Aero. This acquisition, which is expected to close in the second quarter of 2025, pending regulatory approvals, positions ETI to enhance its capabilities and expand its operational reach within the specialized market of Rolls-Royce engines. Based in Malta, AeroMaritime brings over 40 years of experience servicing both civil and military aviation operators, notably focusing on the Rolls-Royce M250 and RR300 engines.
Gannon Gambeski, ETI’s President and CEO, emphasizes that acquiring AeroMaritime not only broadens the company’s geographical presence but also enriches its service offerings within the Rolls-Royce network. This strategic acquisition facilitates a more robust MRO footprint across North America and Europe, enabling ETI to better serve its clientele with enhanced resources and expertise. By integrating AeroMaritime’s specialized competencies, ETI aims to solidify its leadership position in the aerospace MRO sector, catering to a growing demand for high-quality maintenance services in the aviation industry.
Alan Jones, Executive VP of MRO at ITP Aero, expresses that this transaction aligns with their commitment to delivering value to stakeholders while concentrating on larger commercial and defense engines. He assures that AeroMaritime will continue to operate as an independent and authorized MRO center, maintaining its longstanding reputation for excellence in the industry. This acquisition reflects the proactive strategies employed by both ETI and ITP Aero to adapt to evolving market conditions and enhance service delivery in a highly competitive aerospace landscape.
In addition to this acquisition, ETI is strategically positioned with its headquarters in Montreal and operational sites in Vancouver and Mesa, Arizona. The company’s backing by Swift Anchor Holdings further supports its endeavors to lead in the aerospace MRO sector. As ETI continues to evolve, it underscores its commitment to innovation and excellence, ensuring its readiness to meet the rigorous demands of modern aviation maintenance.
The acquisition of AeroMaritime not only signifies ETI's growth trajectory but also highlights the collaborative nature of the aerospace industry, where partnerships and acquisitions fuel advancements in technology and service capabilities. As the transaction progresses towards completion, industry stakeholders keenly anticipate the transformative impact this will have on ETI's service offerings and its position within the global aviation market.
