Interline pact enables single-ticket itineraries and through-checked baggage
JetBlue and Contour Airlines announce an interline agreement effective Feb. 3, 2026 that lets customers book a single itinerary combining flights operated by both carriers with coordinated ticketing and through-checked baggage to the final destination. The deal positions Contour’s regional network as a feeder into JetBlue’s mainline system, improving connectivity between Contour’s more than 30 U.S. and Caribbean destinations and JetBlue’s network of over 100 destinations.
The partnership aims to simplify connections for leisure and business travelers by consolidating baggage handling and reducing transfer complexity. Contour President Ben Munson calls the move a meaningful step to increase accessibility for residents and visitors, and JetBlue vice president Dave Jehn says it reflects JetBlue’s ongoing commitment to expand access by combining Contour’s regional expertise with JetBlue’s service. Operationally, the carriers intend to coordinate itineraries, minimize connection times where possible, and provide aligned customer service at booking and at the airport.
Airline sources say tickets are available immediately through Contour’s booking channels, major travel agency platforms and contourairlines.com, allowing agents and passengers to see combined itineraries and baggage routing at time of purchase. The agreement is intended to enhance route options across both carriers’ networks and to create a more seamless passenger experience without requiring separate tickets for each leg.
Bookings, contact and launch details
Contour promotes the new links via a Smyrna, Tenn. press release and provides reservations support through its call center at (888) 332‑6686 and a media contact email. Travel agents and passengers are the immediate beneficiaries as inventory and through‑checked baggage visibility appear across distribution channels now that the interline connection is live.
Regional product and broader partnerships
Contour highlights a premium regional product with complimentary snacks and beverages, leather seating and expanded legroom across a growing regional-jet fleet, and notes existing interline connections with Alaska, American and United Airlines alongside the new JetBlue link. The tie-up reflects a broader industry trend of mainline carriers using regional partners to extend network reach and simplify multi-carrier itineraries for point-to-point and connecting traffic.
