Kosmos Energy Marks a Key Milestone with Start of LNG Production at Greater Tortue Ahmeyim Project

Kosmos Energy has officially commenced its inaugural liquefied natural gas (LNG) production at the bp-operated Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) project, which is strategically located offshore between Mauritania and Senegal. As of December 31, 2024, gas has begun flowing from the GTA's initial phase to the floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel. This critical step involves processing the gas to remove impurities before it is transferred to the floating LNG vessel for liquefaction.
