Megatrend Nanotechnology – andNurExone Biologic Inc. at the Center ofthe Development

Nanotechnology is transforming industry and medicine – and NurExone Biologic Inc. is

positioning itself at the heart of this future market with its exosome-based platform. With

progress in reproducible production and the further development of ExoPTEN, the transition

from the laboratory to the clinic is drawing closer.

In recent years, nanotechnology has evolved from a specialized research field into a cross-

industry driver of innovation. What once began in laboratories is now unfolding its impact

across an increasing number of application areas. In semiconductor manufacturing, nano-

engineering enables ever smaller and more powerful chips; in the energy sector, nanoscale

materials improve the efficiency of batteries and catalysts; and in medicine, nano-systems

enable novel diagnostic and therapeutic concepts. This trend is attracting not only scientific

attention but also the interest of capital markets searching for future technologies with strong

growth potential.

Nanobiotechnology – Major Progress with the Smallest Particles

One particularly interesting field is nanobiotechnology. This is where NurExone Biologic

(WKN: A3DNSU | ISIN: CA67059R1091) positions itself: the company uses natural

nanoscale vesicles –exosomes – as carriers for therapeutic molecules. These biological

nanostructures act as “transport vessels” between cells in the human body and can be used

therapeutically to deliver biological cargo in a targeted manner. The combination of

nanotechnology and regenerative medicine therefore makes NurExone an example of how

the “nano world” is increasingly being translated into concrete therapeutic platforms.

However, developing biotherapies is a complex marathon. For new biological drugs, not only

scientific efficacy matters, but also industrial reproducibility and quality assurance.

Consistency between different production batches is a key hurdle, as regulatory authorities

such as the U.S. FDA and the European EMA require extremely high reliability in the

manufacturing process before approving clinical trials. A recent milestone for NurExone is

therefore the successful demonstration of batch consistency in the production of its

exosomes. Independent analyses confirmed a consistent protein signature across multiple

batches, representing an important step toward reducing technical and regulatory risks on

the path to the clinical phase.

Billion-Dollar Market: Exosomes for the Regeneration of Damaged Nerve Cells

At the center of NurExone’s development work is ExoPTEN, an exosome-based platform

designed to promote the regeneration of damaged nerve cells, for example after acute spinal

cord injuries or damage to the optic nerve (glaucoma). The underlying preclinical data

highlight the potential of ExoPTEN – an approach that targets significant multi-billion-dollar

markets while being based on an innovative technological foundation.

Strategically, the company continues to expand its production capabilities. In addition to the

independent validation of manufacturing processes, this also includes its announced plans to

establish GMP-compliant production capacities in the U.S.

Industrial Approach in the International Nano Environment

The industrial perspective of nanobiotechnology was also reflected in the program of the

planned NANO.IL.2026 conference in Israel. In the track “Nano Biotech – Industrial

Approach,” the topic was divided into two parts.

Part A was chaired by Noa Lapidot (Merck) and Noga Yerushalmi (M Ventures). Speakers

scheduled for this session included Amit Meller (TEC), Lior Shaltiel (NurExone Biologic),

Orna Dreazen (Nextage Therapeutics Ltd.), and Michael Shpigelmacher (Bionout Labs). Part

B was to be chaired by Yanir Aldouby (Nextage) together with Lior Shaltiel. The focus of

both sessions was on how nanobiotechnological innovations can be scaled industrially and

translated into robust business models.

Due to the current geopolitical situation, the conference has been postponed. However, for

the strategic positioning of NurExone, the exact date of the event is less important than its

integration into an international nano ecosystem that is increasingly focused on industrial

implementation.

Nanotechnology is not an isolated trend but rather a foundational technology spanning

multiple industries. Companies such as NurExone, whose business model is fundamentally

built on nanoscale biological structures, exemplify this development. For investors, the key

question will be whether the technological platform can be translated into clinical data and

regulatory progress. What is already clear, however, is that the structural trend toward the

“nano world” is long since a reality – and it is likely to shape the innovation landscape for

years to come.
