NorthWestern Energy Partners with Atlas Power Group to Power New Data Center

NorthWestern Energy Group, Inc. announces its plan to supply electric service to Atlas Power Group for a new data center set to open in Butte, Montana, in 2026. The initial energy supply commitment is for 75 megawatts, with an opportunity to expand by an additional 75 megawatts over the next three to five years. This development marks a significant step for NorthWestern Energy as it continues to broaden its customer base in the growing data center sector. The company’s strategic approach blends acquisitions and a balanced energy portfolio, allowing it to cater to large clients while ensuring reliable and affordable energy for its existing customer base.
