Ops‑Core backs Ohio training range to put helmets into officers’ hands
Gentex Corporation’s Ops‑Core brand announces it is sponsoring the Alliance Police Training Facility in Alliance, Ohio, in a move to embed its helmet systems and integrated equipment into regional law enforcement training. The company says the sponsorship supports a well‑known East Coast training destination that provides realistic, high‑intensity programs for officers, tactical teams and first responders from across the country. Gentex distributes the announcement from Carbondale, Pa., via PR Newswire on Feb. 10.
Fred Grimm, Gentex’s vice president of commercial sales for the Americas, is quoted saying Alliance PD Range “plays a crucial role in preparing law enforcement officers for real‑world challenges,” and that the company is proud to ensure officers have access to modern protective solutions. As part of the agreement, Ops‑Core will work directly with instructors to integrate its latest helmet systems, modular accessories and communications‑ready platforms into live‑fire and tactical curricula, giving trainees hands‑on experience with equipment they may rely on in the field.
The sponsorship also formalizes a feedback loop between users and the manufacturer. Gentex is providing live demonstrations, instructor familiarization sessions and maintenance support at Alliance, while collecting user feedback that it says will inform future product development and procurement discussions by agencies. The facility draws departments from the region, including federal law enforcement agencies and tactical teams as far as Tennessee, which Gentex frames as an opportunity to scale familiarization across multiple agency types.
Field integration and training modernization
Gentex positions the initiative as more than branding: it is operational integration. By placing helmets and communications platforms into routine training, Ops‑Core seeks to accelerate user proficiency, reduce transition friction when agencies procure new gear and provide empirical input on ergonomics, compatibility and wearability under operational stress.
Industry positioning and product development
The company highlights decades of supplying personal protection and situational awareness solutions to military, emergency responders and industrial personnel, saying the sponsorship underscores a commitment to officer safety and mission effectiveness. The move reflects a broader industry trend toward coupling equipment sales with training partnerships to influence procurement and iterate designs based on frontline feedback.
