Signed in July 2024, this contract outlines plans for three dedicated satellite missions in 2025 and an additional launch in 2026, all to be conducted from Rocket Lab's Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand. The missions aim to deploy satellites as part of iQPS' ambitious goal to create a constellation of 36 synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites. These satellites are designed to deliver high-resolution imagery, capable of capturing details less than a meter, even in adverse conditions such as cloudy weather or during nighttime.
The agreement builds on the successful launch of iQPS' second commercial SAR satellite, QPS-SAR-5, which Rocket Lab accomplished in December 2023.
