Lithos Group Ltd. engages in the processing of continental brines from several resources located in the US, Argentina, and Chile. The firm owns AcQUA, a patented selective conditioning, pre-treatment, concentrating, and polishing production process (also commonly referred to as direct lithium extraction or DLE) for extracting lithium salts from a variety of brine reservoirs enriched with lithium in aqueous form. AcQUA is a modular technology which optimizes the pre-treatment, selective purification, and concentration of lithium-enriched brines prior to extracting lithium chloride and subsequent polishing into either lithium hydroxide monohydrate or lithium carbonate. These are the input feedstocks preferred for modern electric vehicle batteries. The firm also has the exploration and development rights to the Rhodes Marsh Project for potentially securing lithium brine.
