The MFS Emerging Markets Equity R6 fund primarily allocates a minimum of 80% of its net assets to equity securities (stocks) of companies with significant economic ties to developing economies. These emerging market nations are characterized by their evolving financial and capital markets. Geographically, this encompasses countries located across Latin America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, as well as the developing regions of Europe, notably Eastern Europe. While predominantly focused on emerging markets, the investment adviser also has the discretion to allocate a portion of assets to equity securities of issuers that do not have direct economic links to these developing nations.
